	Balistol liquid 16 oz. 16 0z. liquid can be used full strength or mixed with water in different ratios for different applications. Touted as a multi-purpose lube, Ballistol truly lives up to its mission. This environmentally-safe compound was invented at the turn of the century for the  German Imperial Army. They contracted Friedrich Klever and his chemist son, Dr. Helmut Klever to produce a lubricant that would maintain the metallic parts of a soldier's rifle, as well as protect wood and leather. A little caveat in the contract added that the oil should be able to be used for treatment of minor wounds, sores and scratches. That's just what the Klevers came up with- Ballistol- Latin for ballistic oil. Word soon spread and the new "miracle oil" was being used by outdoorsmen throughout Europe. 	Primitive worm  This tow worm is copied off originals found in 18th century archeaological digs, and is as simple and effective now as it was then.
